visiting Bah Kebek Chinese Restaurant in Parakan is indeed bring the nostalgic feeling. I'm the third generation within my family who were visiting this place regularly and in the other hand, Bah Kebek's chef now the third generation as well (one of the grandsons of the founder). I did remember very well, we need to queuing with my Nan or my Mum. but in most recent visit, me and my brother just walk and sit, then voila! our favourite nostalgic nasi goreng putih (fried rice without soy sauce or tomato ketchup) had been served nicely, with mashed shallot, diced ngohiang, ngohiong, or kekian (sausage-like diced pork and shrimp rolled in tofu skin) just we had before since we're kids! then fried kekian and fried noodle are coming afterwards. what a perfect blend of the nostalgia and legendary restaurant with personal feeling. and we order to take home as well, approximately 8 hours drive from our hometown Parakan. xie xie!

Unique.Its a very old school local chinese cuisine.Hom made style no flavoring agents as most modern cuisine used too boost the sales, No MSG tastes n after tastes.Be patient to wait your order.The premises are unique too.No sign board no hints at all.Pass thru a small door.Thx much to our buddy he is an old local senior citizens guided us.

Old school, legendary eatery in Parakan. The menu isn’t as extensive like big Chinese Restaurants but it’s more simple, unfussy one. Even though I’ve eaten in this place since my childhood, I always ordered the same: Mie Goreng, which is a simple dish with imperfectly handmade noodle cooked on the original stove/pushing cart. The smell, the texture & the chewiness of the handmade noodle is so satisfying. And yes, the taste is slightly sweet & well accepted by central Javanese customers. Since it doesn’t have any sign, the best way for unfamiliar visitors to find the location is next to Gereja Pantekosta Parakan.
